Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: display name, email, role, grade level (optional), school (optional)
• Scans: images you capture or upload, plus recognition results
• Activity: scans, saved discoveries, challenge attempts, badges earned

What we don't collect

• Precise device location without explicit action
• Contacts, address book, or SMS content
• Advertising identifiers
• Data from third-party sites you visit

Who sees your scans

By default, your scans are visible only to you. If you save a discovery to your collection, it's still private. If you participate in a class challenge, your teacher can see counts, badges, and challenge completion — but not the individual images unless you save them.

Under-13 users

Micro-Lens follows COPPA. For under-13 users in classroom deployments, the educator confirms parental consent has been obtained before students sign up. We collect the minimum data needed for the educational experience.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete individual scans from your history. To request deletion of your entire account, contact Jeremake Innovations.

Third-party services

Images are sent to iNaturalist for identification. See iNaturalist's privacy policy. We use Supabase for storage and authentication and Vercel for hosting.
